About

Death by 5K Oregon is an endurance challenge at Elijah Bristow State Park near Dexter, Oregon: ten 5K races, one starting every 2 hours 30 minutes over 24 hours, for a total of 50 km (31 miles). The 2027 challenge begins at 8 a.m. on August 7.

Each 5K must be finished before the next one starts, testing both mental and physical endurance. A headlamp or other light is required for the night laps. Participants can camp between races, and meals and snacks are provided. Entry is capped at 150 people, with additional runners placed on a waiting list. Finishers receive an award and event keepsakes.
