About

The DDS Miles for Smiles 5K is a charity 5K (3.1 miles) held in Boone, North Carolina, on the Boone Greenway. The race starts at 10:00 a.m., with check-in opening at 9:00 a.m. on race day. Timing is handled by volunteers rather than a professional timing company.

Proceeds support the App State pre-dental club, helping fund its travel to free dental clinics that serve underserved communities. Through a partnership with High Country Community Health, participants can get an oral cancer screening on site. Every registration includes a T-shirt and bib while supplies last.
