The Dandelion Dash Trail 5K and Short Family Fun Run takes place on the Petoskey High School cross-country course in Petoskey, Michigan, on May 15, 2027. The program includes a 5K trail run (3.1 miles) at 9 a.m., a 1-mile trail run (1.6 km) at 10 a.m. and a short family fun run of about 0.3 mile (0.5 km) at 10:30 a.m.

The 5K and the family run both raise funds for the Petoskey Children's Nature Preschool. The professionally timed 5K is open to all levels and includes a race shirt for early registrants. Family fun run participants receive a finisher ribbon and a goodie bag with native prairie seeds. A virtual option is also available.
