The Dandelion Dash and Mushroom Mile takes place on May 2, 2027, in Hadley, with a 5K (3.1-mile) trail run or walk at 9:45 a.m. and the Mushroom Mile (1 mile / 1.6 km) at 9 a.m. on the campus trails. The event is open to the public.

It supports Hartsbrook School's programs in land stewardship, animal husbandry, climate education, sustainable agriculture and beekeeping for students in grades 1 through 12. The race goes ahead rain or shine, and participants should be ready for muddy, uneven terrain. A virtual option, the Distance Dash, lets people anywhere in the world run 5K or more, with rankings based on total distance covered.
