About

The Coopers Rock 50K and Half Marathon takes place in Morgantown, West Virginia, in late April, in the rugged Coopers Rock State Forest in north-central West Virginia. The 50K (31.1 miles) starts at 8:30 AM, covers nearly all the trails on the south side of the forest and includes roughly 5,000 feet of climbing, technical rocky segments, panoramic views of Cheat Canyon and Cheat Lake, and impressive rock formations. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:00 AM, follows largely the same trails and has about 2,000 feet of climbing. Neither course repeats a loop, so the terrain stays new throughout the race.
