About

The CHASS 5k Run/Walk & Kid's Superhero Race brings a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk and a half-mile kids' race to Detroit's Mexicantown on August 7, 2027, with both starting at 9:33 a.m. These inclusive events are open to everyone in a family atmosphere, with a local food showcase and mariachi dancers.

Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes for a short, untimed race. Event proceeds help fund personal care and educational needs for vulnerable members of the community.
