The Carl Sandburg Athletic Booster 5K Run/Walk takes place at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park on September 12, 2027, starting at 8:00 a.m. Organized by the Carl Sandburg Athletic Booster association, the 5K (3.1 miles) celebrates the school's athletic tradition and supports its student-athletes.
Participants of all ages are welcome, with awards for the top finishers in each age group as well as the overall winners. Proceeds fund scholarships for graduating seniors and equipment for the athletic department.
