About

Captain of the Castle is an informal relay race in Boston for teams of four, racing on a scenic one-mile loop around the harbor at Castle Island. The 4 x Mile Relay (4 miles / 6.4 km in total) starts at 7 p.m. on August 19, 2027.

Runners take turns on the loop in this evening race, competing for titles in categories such as Fastest Overall Team and Best Team Spirit. Runners can register as a team or individually, in which case they join a mixed team made up of members from different clubs. A party follows the race, giving participants a chance to celebrate and connect with fellow running enthusiasts.
