About

The Boots On the Ground Charity Fun Walk-Run takes place at Skylands Stadium in Augusta (Frankford Township, New Jersey). It offers a family-friendly 5K (3.1 miles) that you can walk or run, plus a more demanding 10K (6.2 miles) that covers the 5K loop twice. Both races start at 9 a.m. after an Honor Guard salute.

The course is flat and mostly asphalt, with some gravel or sand sections, and it runs inside the baseball field. The event is hosted by Lt. Charles A. Meyer American Legion Post 86 of Newton and Skylands Stadium. Entry fees go toward educational and economic support for veterans.
