BigSea Trails (WATER)

BigSea Trails (WATER) takes runners onto the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset on 6 June 2027, as part of the Classic Element Trail series. Starting and finishing on Knoll Beach at Studland, the event offers four single-loop routes: a 54 km ultra, an 18-mile challenge, a full marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km) and a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), all starting at 9am.

Every route takes in landmarks of the coast and countryside, including the Purbeck Hills, Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay, Chapman's Pool, Dancing Ledge, Durlston Castle and Old Harry Rocks. As the "Water" event of the four-part series (Earth, Water, Fire, Air), BigSea tests athletes with steep climbs, rugged coastal paths and breathtaking sea views. Designed to test endurance and determination, it is an exceptional challenge in one of England's most striking landscapes.
