About

The Big Turtle 50 Miler and Marathon is a trail running event in Morehead, held on June 5, 2027, with a 50K (31.1 miles) starting at 7:00 a.m. and a 10-miler (16.1 km) at 8:00 a.m. The race takes place in the northern reaches of the Daniel Boone National Forest, along the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.

It is an untimed event: the challenge is simply to push yourself and finish within the time limit. Every participant who crosses the finish line before the cutoff receives a finisher's medal.
