About
The Bernard Greene Memorial 5K is an annual 5K (3.1 miles) in Henrico, held on October 17, 2026, with a 9:30 a.m. start. It supports the Henrico County recovery court, and race proceeds help past and current participants take part in activities that promote sobriety and community engagement.
The event honors Bernard L. Greene, Jr., a former administrator with a passion for endurance sports and community improvement. The court aims to improve public safety by providing assessments and interventions for substance-dependent offenders. The day includes raffles and music, and encourages the community to support people on their path to recovery.
