Beer City Half San Jose

The Beer City Half takes place in San Jose, California, in late May, at Almaden Lake Park. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 10K at 8:45 a.m., a 5K at 9:00 a.m. and a 1-mile run at 11:00 a.m. Runners of all levels can join a scenic course that highlights the area's craft beer culture.

The Beer City Festival adds a lively atmosphere with local craft beers and community activities. Participants see San Jose's trails and take in the local brewing scene, so the day celebrates fitness and local culture in equal measure. South Bay mornings in late May are usually mild, which makes for comfortable running before the festival begins.
