The BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk takes place on October 9, 2027, at Promenade Park in downtown Toledo, on a scenic course along the Maumee River and through Glass City Metropark. The 5K run (3.1 miles) starts at 10:00 a.m., the walk at 9:45 a.m. and a kids' 100-yard dash at 9:30 a.m.

All proceeds go to the ProMedica Foundation's stroke assistance fund, which helps stroke patients cover essential expenses. Participants receive a packet including a bib with timing chip, a T-shirt, snacks, a post-race meal and access to a community resource fair. Free stroke risk screenings and activities such as face painting and balloon animals are on offer, along with a silent auction, and entry is free for stroke survivors.
