About

Bandit Ultra Trail - CA takes place in Simi Valley, California, on September 26, 2026. The event offers three trail distances with staggered starts: a 50K (31 miles) at 7:00 a.m., a 30K (about 18.6 miles) at 7:30 a.m., and a 15K (about 9.3 miles) at 8:00 a.m. The organizer is Trail Run Events, and the website points to the Rocky Peak area, so expect Southern California hill country underfoot.

The staggered early starts get every distance moving before mid-morning. The 15K is a good first trail race, the 30K bridges the gap between a half marathon and an ultra, and the 50K is a solid first-ultra distance. Whatever you choose, practice carrying enough water, and build hill strength with weekly climbing sessions. A 12- to 16-week block with a progressive long run on similar terrain will have you ready for the distance and the exposure.
