About

The Adventure Awaits 5k is a 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk organized by the Scouting America Great Falls Council in the Sayre area, at Round Top Park in Athens Township, Pennsylvania, on August 28, 2027. It invites participants of all ages to enjoy the outdoors and support the local Scouting program, giving Scouts, families and community members a chance to get active in a scenic setting.

The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m., preceded at 8:15 a.m. by a fun Kids Run (0.3 miles / 0.4 km) with prizes for participants. Chip timing is provided, facilities include restrooms and a water station staffed by Scouts, and an awards ceremony after the race recognizes the top finishers in various age groups.
