About

The 9/11 Heroes Run - Huntsville, Alabama takes place in Madison, Alabama, on September 11, 2027, with two races starting together at 8:30 a.m.: the 5K Run (3.1 miles) and the 1-Mile Run/Walk (1.6 km), which is open to walkers.

The event supports veterans, active-duty military, first responders and the families of the fallen, and offers a GORUCK division with a weighted pack and a commemorative patch. With these two distances it caters to a wide range of participants: the mile lets kids and walkers join the morning, while the 5K is a worthwhile target for regular runners.
