3 Days at the Fair

3 Days at the Fair opens on May 10, 2027, in Frankford Township, New Jersey. The marathon (26.2 mi), the 50K (31.1 mi) and the 144-hour race all start at 9:00 a.m., as part of a week of endurance events run on a flat, certified loop that alternates asphalt and crushed gravel. Heated bathrooms and a full kitchen are available on site.

Timed events on a short loop are a world of their own: nobody gets lost, crewing is trivial because you pass your own supplies every few minutes, and the difficulty becomes almost entirely mental. If you are moving up from the marathon, the 50K here is about as forgiving an introduction to ultra distance as exists — flat, fully supported, and easy to stop at when you have had enough.
