Red Oak Race Fest

Red Oak Race Fest is held in Whitsett, North Carolina, on October 25, 2026. The 5K starts at 10:30 a.m. and a Beer Mile follows at 11:20 a.m., which makes the schedule unusual: a conventional road race first, then a novelty mile that has become a genre of its own.

Doing both is realistic if you keep the 5K under control, since fifty minutes is enough recovery for a mile of that kind but not for two hard efforts back to back. If the 5K is your target, race it and skip the second event. If the mile is what brought you, jog the 5K as a long warm-up. Either way, the late-morning start gives you time for a normal breakfast well beforehand.
