Extreme North Dakota Trail Run Amongst Innumerable Lost Souls takes place in Arvilla, North Dakota, on October 24, 2026. Five timed trail formats are offered. The 6-Hour Zombie, 12-Hour Zombie and 12-Hour Skeleton Army all start at 8:00 a.m., while the 24-Hour Zombie and 24-Hour Skeleton Army begin at 8:00 p.m. and run through the night into the following day.

Timed trail running is a discipline of its own: distance is the output, but the input is how well you manage food, feet and morale hour by hour. For the six-hour, a solid base of two-hour long runs is enough. The twelve- and twenty-four-hour options need more, including at least one night session on trails with your headlamp and a tested eating plan. Late October in North Dakota can be cold once the sun goes down, so pack more layers than you expect to use.
