Zonta 5k

Zonta 5k is held in Bossier, Louisiana, on October 31, 2026. A fun run goes first at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K, 3.1 miles, follows at 8:00 a.m. The morning also includes a costume contest and face painting. Entry fees vary by category, early registrants get a shirt in their race packet, and awards go to the leading man and woman as well as to the winners of each age group. There is even a sleep-in supporter option: a shirt without the running.

Age-group awards should change how you race this one. A 5K decided by category rewards even pacing far more than a fast opening half-mile, so look at the structure before you decide what to attempt. Three or four weeks with one weekly interval session, one steady run and easy mileage around them is enough to arrive sharp. With the fun run starting fifteen minutes earlier, families can also split the morning between the two events rather than choosing.
