Woodstock Festival of Races

The Woodstock Festival of Races unfolds over a full weekend in Dexter Township, Michigan, on a wooded property along the Potawatomi and Waterloo-Pinckney trail network. The festival borrows its playful spirit from the original 1969 gathering, with race starts introduced by a recorded rendition of the national anthem and a campground that fills with music, tie-dye, and shared meals between races.

Distances span the full spectrum: a 5K, a 5-mile run, a half marathon (13.1 miles), a full marathon (26.2 miles), a 50K (31 miles), a 50-mile ultramarathon, a 100K (62 miles), and a 100-mile ultramarathon that runs through the night on repeated loops of sandy, root-strewn singletrack. Well-stocked aid stations support runners throughout, and many stay on-site to camp for the entire weekend.
