About

The Winchester Half Marathon offers runners a scenic and historic challenge in Winchester on 19 September 2027, starting at 9am and finishing in front of the Guildhall in the city centre. The 21.1 km route, with around 281 metres of elevation gain, winds through the Hampshire countryside and passes landmarks such as Winchester Cathedral, St Catherine's Hill and the statue of King Alfred the Great.

Alongside the main race, a 1 km children's fun run around the cathedral makes it a day for the whole family. Well-run logistics, from parking and bag drop to medals and treats at the finish, let runners focus on their race.
