The Wild Bill 5k is a 5K (3.1 miles) in Raleigh on July 31, 2027, starting at 7:00 a.m., with a kids' race of about half a mile for ages 10 and under at 8:00 a.m. The course is USATF-certified.

Organized by Seven Oaks and the Stonehenge HOA, the race honors William "Wild Bill" Sonner, a respected coach, mentor and community leader in Raleigh. Known for his dedication to track and to running every day, Wild Bill inspired many in the community. The event celebrates his legacy and raises money for charitable causes.
