The Whitney Lab 5K is a 5K (3.1-mile) trail event in Saint Augustine, Florida, on April 18, 2027, starting at 8:00 a.m. Participants run, jog or walk the trails of the River to Sea Preserve in support of marine science, with proceeds going to the Whitney Laboratory's education and public programs.
The event celebrates the sea star, and every registered participant receives a T-shirt and a medal, with awards for the fastest finishers in several categories. Other activities include a free kids' run. Participants can choose to take part in person or virtually, with a limited number of in-person spots. The event promotes community involvement and environmental awareness.
