About
The Western States Endurance Run is the world's oldest 100-mile trail race, held since 1974 from Olympic Valley (Lake Tahoe) to Auburn, California, on the last weekend of June. About 18,000 feet of climbing, scorching canyons, a crossing of the American River, and 30 hours to earn the belt buckle — 24 hours for the silver one.
Just 369 entries, awarded by lottery and through Golden Tickets won at qualifying races.
