About

The Wausau Trail Run is held in the Nine Mile County Forest in Wausau, central Wisconsin, on July 23, 2027, with 5K, 10K and 20K (3.1, 6.2 and 12.4 miles) trail races. The lapped course is inspired by the Wausau 24 mountain bike race: the 5K, 10K and 20K mean one, two or four laps, mixing mountain bike trails and ski trails.

The race starts at sunset, so a headlamp is mandatory. Every pass through Dirt Town brings a festive atmosphere, with music, food and beer after the finish. On July 24 at noon, the Koucurek Kids Trail Run covers 1 mile.
