About

The Watermelon Dash San Antonio, with a 10K and a 5K, puts runners' endurance to the test under the Texas sun on August 8, 2027. Mission County Park hosts a fast course for the 10K and 5K, plus a dedicated 1 km course for young athletes and families. The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. and the Kids + Family Fun Run at 9:15 a.m.

Runners receive a custom finisher medal and a participant T-shirt, and chip timing tracks their personal records. A refreshing watermelon-themed party follows the race. Athletes who complete the full Summer Dash series (Lemonade Dash, Popsicle Dash and Watermelon Dash) earn an exclusive series finisher medal.

Billed as one of San Antonio's favorite running events, it's a chance to train with teammates and set ambitious goals.
