Village Runner 4th of July Runs

The Village Runner 4th of July Runs feature a 5K (3.1 miles) along the Pacific Ocean in Redondo Beach, California, near Los Angeles, on July 2, 2027. The 5K Run / Community Walk starts at 8 a.m., followed by Kid's Dashes from 9:20 a.m.: a quarter mile for ages 8-9 and 6-7, and a short dash for ages 4-5.

Every participant receives a special Independence Day T-shirt, chip timing is provided and age-group awards are presented. Cash prizes go to the top three overall men and women in the 5K, and every child who finishes receives a medal. The course hugs the coastline, letting runners stay close to the sand and enjoy the ocean breeze typical of the California coast, in a setting suited to experienced runners and beginners alike.
