Veterans Day Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 MIAMI takes place in Key Biscayne, Florida, on November 14, 2026. The 13.1-mile half marathon, the 10K, the 5K and a 1-mile family fun run all start at 7:30 a.m. It is an untimed, inclusive event with in-person and virtual entry and capped wave starts that hold the field to a manageable size. A bib, a finisher medal, a shirt and a certificate of participation are included.

With no clock involved, the half works best as a long, even effort rather than a race, which makes it a good fit inside a build toward a winter or spring marathon. Aim to be comfortable running for two hours before you enter. Newer runners will get a better day out of the 5K, and the family mile is short enough for children and walkers to take part alongside you.
