About

The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon in Louisville, Kentucky, celebrates the history of distilling in Louisville and the Bluegrass State with a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) that winds through several scenic neighborhoods, starting and finishing downtown. It takes place on October 17, 2026, at 8 a.m. A shorter race, the Urban Bourbon 5K, starts at 8:30 a.m. for runners who prefer a more accessible distance. The event is open to participants 21 and over.

Every registrant receives a long-sleeve T-shirt and a bourbon-themed medal. After the race, the Urban Bourbon Bash takes over, with live music, free bourbon and beer tastings, and pizza and soup for half marathon runners: an original way to combine running and local heritage in a festive Kentucky atmosphere.
