United We Run 5K

United We Run 5K takes place in Lucama, North Carolina, on October 24, 2026, with the 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 8 a.m. It is a single-distance road event, so there is one start, one finish and no waiting around for other waves to clear before you can get going.

Small-town 5Ks are among the easiest races to enter as a beginner: fields are manageable, the start is not a scrum, and three miles is a distance most people can build toward inside two months. Run three times a week, add a few minutes to one of those runs each week, and by race day the distance will feel routine. More experienced runners can use the 8 a.m. start as a chance to bank a hard effort and still have the day ahead of them.
