About

The Unified 5K - Mechanicsburg pairs an inclusive 5K walk/run (3.1 miles) with the AdaptXpo, an adaptive sports expo, in Mechanicsburg on May 16, 2027. The 5K starts at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 1-mile walk/run/roll (1.6 km) at 10:00 a.m., encouraging everyone to take part regardless of ability.

The event supports AdaptX initiatives in education, research, community programs and grants. It brings together athletes with and without disabilities and challenges preconceptions about fitness and sport. Participants can also visit exhibitors and workshops focused on health, inclusion, accessibility, assistive technology and adaptive sports, all with the aim of making fitness and physical activity accessible to all.
