About

The Ultra X Pays de Galles takes place around Machynlleth, south of Snowdonia National Park, in raw, wild country that takes in the region's highest mountains, on 24 and 25 July 2027. Part of the UTMB World Series, it is organised by Ultra X, which also runs races such as Ultra X Slovenia and Ultra X England.

Five distances are on offer: 12 km (466 m of ascent), 25 km (715 m), 47.5 km (1,830 m), 60 km (2,554 m) and 110 km (4,384 m). The 110 km combines the 60 km and 50 km loops and can be completed in one or two stages. The 110 km, 60 km and 12 km are held on 24 July, the 47.5 km and 25 km on 25 July.

Wales is also known for its castles, such as Caernarfon and Conwy, the steam trains of the Ffestiniog Railway and its local food.
