About

Race the Train takes place in Tywyn, Gwynedd, Wales, on 15 August 2027. The idea is simple: run faster than a historic steam train. Four distances are on offer: the Tynllwynhen Challenge (3.5 miles / 4.8 km), the Dolgoch Challenge (5.5 miles), the Quarry Challenge (10 km) and the Rotary Challenge (14 miles / 22.5 km).

Around Tywyn there is plenty to explore: Tywyn beach, the fishing village of Aberdovey, UNESCO-listed Harlech Castle an hour's drive away, and the underground King Arthur's Labyrinth for families.
