About

The Tussey Mountainback 50 Miler takes place in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, on a rugged, demanding course through the surrounding mountain backcountry — a route that lives up to its name. Runners choose between two distances, each completed solo or split among a relay team: a 50K (31 miles) or the full 50 miles.

The event draws both dedicated ultrarunners chasing a solo finish and relay teams looking to share the miles, all tackling the same tough, wild terrain that has made this Pennsylvania ultra a well-known challenge among trail and ultrarunning circles.
