Trach Families presents Breath of Life 5K is a 5K (3.1 miles) in Chattanooga supporting families with tracheostomy needs in Southeast Tennessee. On May 22, 2027, the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. and the Family Fun Mile at 9:30 a.m., so participants can run or walk either the fun mile or the more challenging distance.

Funds raised go to local families who depend on tracheostomy and ventilator care. Registration includes a T-shirt, a post-race gift and snacks. The Chattanooga Tracheostomy Families group, which is working toward nonprofit status, supports, educates and advocates for families whose children need a trach. The group currently has 50 members and focuses on community engagement to help families manage life with trach care.
