About

The Towpath Trail 10K and Half Marathon takes place in Grand Rapids, Ohio, starting at Providence Metropark near the dam on the Maumee River. Organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club in partnership with Metroparks Toledo, it offers a half marathon (13.1 miles, 8:15 a.m. start, ages 13 and up) and a 10K (6.2 miles, 8:30 a.m. start, ages 9 and up), which is also open to walkers.

The out-and-back course follows the historic canal towpath on flat, shaded crushed gravel and dirt, passing the park's historic canal locks and grain mill. The race is capped at 175 participants and often sells out.
