About

The Tough as Nails Adventure Race is an urban obstacle course of 5+ miles (about 9.7 km) in Wheeling on May 30, 2027, starting at noon. Billed as the Tough as Nails Urban Challenge, it tests participants' physical and mental limits.

Open to ages 16 and up, it invites runners, walkers, weightlifters and fitness fans to tackle more than 20 urban obstacles: climbing over abandoned cars, scaling flood walls, clambering up obstacles and conquering steep slopes on the way to the finish line. Afterward, participants can join family and friends for a celebration with food, drinks and live music, a chance to celebrate their achievement and share their experiences.
