The Tiger 10 Miler is a trail race through the Byron Forest Preserve and the Nardi Equestrian Prairie in northern Illinois, with a demanding 10-mile course full of twists, turns, and hills. Every finisher gets a custom medal and a t-shirt, and age-group winners take home awards, with the overall and masters champions earning extra recognition and cash prizes. Runners who complete the race five times receive special recognition. In keeping with its cup-free, eco-friendly approach, participants are asked to bring their own hydration. Afterward, everyone heads to a local brewery for a post-race party with free pizza and the awards ceremony.
