About

The Texas Double™ is held in Dallas, Texas, on December 19-20, 2026, and the same three distances are offered on each of the two mornings. Saturday and Sunday both open at 7 a.m. with a half marathon (13.1 miles), a marathon (26.2 miles) and a 50K (31 miles), so you can enter a single day or, as the name suggests, run back-to-back. That makes six separate races on the weekend schedule.

Running two days in a row is a different skill from racing once, and you prepare for it with volume on tired legs rather than with sharpening: back-to-back long runs on weekends, the first of them at a pace you could hold in conversation. If you are entering a single day, the usual build applies, sixteen weeks for the marathon or the 50K and about twelve for the half, each anchored by one weekly long run. A 7 a.m. start on both days leaves the afternoon free to eat, sleep and do it again.
