The Shady City Race takes place in Marysville, in Union County, on August 28, 2027, along the scenic Jim Simmons Memorial Trail. It offers the Tree Line Trek 10K (6.2 miles) at 9:00 a.m., the Leafy Loop 5K (3.1 miles) at 9:15 a.m. and the Sapling Dash kids' race (0.3 miles) at 9:00 a.m.

The tree-lined, paved course features chip timing, and the event welcomes participants of all ages, from experienced athletes to beginners, in a friendly atmosphere.
