The Maple Run Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Canton, New York, in mid-April, and is a long-running event in St. Lawrence County that supports community development and youth running programs. The half marathon (about 13.1 miles) starts at 8:30 AM, and the 5K (about 3.1 miles) starts at 9:15 AM. Both can be completed either in person or virtually. Starts are staggered, and walkers and wheelchair athletes are welcome. Because North Country weather in April can still be cold, it helps to plan for chilly temperatures and wet roads, and to bring warm clothing for the finish area.
