THE L8KES RUN - Presented by Charity For Children (Green Lakes State Park) takes place at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville on September 19, 2027, with races on scenic trails and roads for runners of all ages and abilities, in support of Charity for Children. The 8K starts at 9:00 a.m., as does the combined 8K & 5K (8.1 miles / 13 km in total), while the 5K and a 2-mile trail walk (3.2 km) start at 10:00 a.m.

Highlights include attractive trails, youth divisions, goody bags with T-shirts and custom bibs, and water stations. Awards are presented by age group and for overall performance, and every participant gets a free Gannon's ice cream. Online registration is required, and bibs are handed out at designated areas in the park. Family activities round out the day.
