The Gene Groves Memorial Firecracker 2-miler (3.2 km) in Ripley, West Virginia, formerly known as the Main Street Firecracker, is an integral part of the town's Fourth of July celebrations. The race starts at 11:30 a.m. on July 4, 2027.

The event honors the legacy of its founder, Gene Groves, who did much to make it a success. Male and female winners receive trophies and cash prizes, and medals go to the top three in each age group. Extra awards recognize the oldest and youngest participants, the most patriotic, the best dressed and those who traveled the farthest.
