About

The Double Top Ultra takes place on 1 May 2027 in Jersey, the Channel Island and British Crown Dependency, starting from St Catherine's on the island's east coast. Organised by Trail Monkey, it offers a 40-mile (64 km) ultra alongside shorter trail races on the island's coastal path, which is exposed to the elements and subject to changeable weather.

The flagship 40 Miles (about 64 km, 2,286 m of elevation gain) links St Catherine's to the ruined Grosnez Castle along the coastal path on an out-and-back route that passes the cliffs of L'Etacq. The 20 Miles (32 km), a more recent addition, turns at the halfway point at Battery Moltke, an unfinished former coastal fortification that also serves as the changeover point for two-person relay teams. Shorter options cover 10 miles (16 km), 10 km and 5 km.

The route passes historic sites including castles, caves, farms and Second World War bunkers, and crosses St Catherine's Bay, popular with sailors and anglers.
