The Community Health Clinic 5k: Walk for Rare, Run for Hope takes place on the Pumpkinvine Trail in Shipshewana on October 9, 2027, starting at 9:30 a.m., in support of patient care. Participants can run or walk the 5K, timed or untimed, starting from the clinic located near the trail.

Drinks and snacks are available during and after the event, and competitive runners can go for the medals awarded to the top male and female finishers. The youngest participants, ages 3 to 7, can take part in a Big Wheel race with equipment provided. Organized by the Community Health Clinic, the event supports genetics-focused care and affordable health services, in partnership with the Community Dental Clinic.
