About

The Bear 100 Endurance Run starts in Logan, Utah, on September 25, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. It is a single-format trail race: a 100-mile (160.9 km) trail run in northern Utah at the end of September. There are no shorter distances, so everyone on the line is committing to a full day and night of running.

This event is for runners who already have 50-mile or 100K finishes and want a 100-miler on trails. If that describes you, plan a 20-week build with back-to-back long weekends, plenty of vertical gain, hiking practice on steep climbs, and at least one long night run to get comfortable moving by headlamp. Test your layering system for the overnight hours and set up a crew and pacers if the rules allow. Pacing conservatively through the first half matters more here than anywhere else.
