Texoma Challenge

Texoma Challenge is held on the evening of June 6, 2027, at Waterloo Park in the hills of north Texas, near Denison. The 50K (31.1 mi) starts at 8:00 p.m., the marathon (26.2 mi) and half marathon (13.1 mi) two minutes later, and the 10K, 5K and a 10K ruck at 8:05 p.m.

An evening start in June in Texas is a heat-avoidance strategy, and it works — but it means running through the night on trails, with everything that implies. Bring a headlamp with fresh batteries and a spare, run a few sessions in the dark beforehand, and eat properly during the afternoon: you will be starting a marathon at the hour you normally finish dinner.
