About

Taste of Portage Half Marathon takes place on August 21, 2027, in Portage, Columbia County, Wisconsin, run through the town's streets in a festival atmosphere. Two distances are offered: the half marathon (13.1 mi) and a 5K (3.1 mi). Start times are not listed in our records.

Town-festival races bring out a broad field and a good deal of support per mile, which is worth more than most runners allow for — crowd noise is measurably worth a few seconds a mile over a half marathon. Take it, but set your pace before the start: on a course with this much encouragement, the opening miles are the easiest place to spend too much.
